Connected Accounts
You may optionally connect third-party accounts to your GnomeCode profile:
- Discord: If you connect your Discord account, we store your Discord user ID, username, and email to link your accounts and provide community features.
- Roblox: If you connect your Roblox account, we store your Roblox user ID and username to verify your identity and link your accounts.
You can disconnect these accounts at any time from your profile settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Provide access to Academy content and premium features
- Process your subscription and manage billing
- Communicate important updates or service announcements
- Moderate community spaces (e.g., Discord)
- Improve the performance and usability of the site
- If you opt in, send you occasional marketing emails about new content, features, or offers related to GnomeCode
3. Who We Share Your Data With
We only share your data with trusted third-party services essential to running the Academy:
- Stripe – for secure payment processing
- Discord – if you choose to connect your Discord account or join the GnomeCode community
- Roblox – if you choose to connect your Roblox account for identity verification
- Mailgun – to send transactional emails (e.g. verification, password reset) and optional marketing emails if you opt in
- Matomo – for privacy-focused website analytics (self-hosted or trusted hosting)
We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers or external marketing services.
4. Data Security
Your personal information is stored securely. Access is limited to GnomeCode's administration team. Payment information is never stored by us directly—Stripe handles all financial data securely.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request corrections or updates to inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (where not required for legal/accounting purposes)
- Withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any message or contacting us directly

6. Cookies and Tracking
We use Matomo Analytics, a privacy-focused, GDPR-compliant tool to understand how visitors use the site. It does not share data with third parties or use intrusive tracking.
Other technologies in use:
- Stripe cookies for secure transaction handling
- YouTube embeds may set cookies or track interactions when videos are loaded or played.
You can disable cookies through your browser if you wish to limit this tracking.
Transactional and verification emails are delivered via Mailgun. This includes signup confirmation, password resets, and system notifications. Mailgun may temporarily store delivery data (e.g., email address, timestamp, IP) for logging and anti-spam purposes.
7. Children’s Privacy
GnomeCode.com membership is intended for users aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, you must have the permission of a parent or guardian to use the service. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without consent.
